Sufficiency of the Gospel
This Sunday we dive into Acts Chapter 20.
It seems like our world is one giant exposé on the insufficiency of created things to sustain our deepest needs and longings. At best it seems created things can only temporarily satisfy. But tragically many get stuck in the never ending cycle of searching for the next temporary satisfaction or distraction.
Christians unfortunately can get stuck in that same rat race as the world around us…So what’s the fix? Is there one?
Is there something that can give us a love that never leaves? Is there something that can give us lasting satisfaction? Is there something that can meet our need for hope? Is there something that can give us purpose for waking up every day? Is there something that is sufficient to sustain our deepest needs and longings?
The answer Paul gives in Acts 20 is an emphatic, YES.
