📖 Mark 14:1-11

Have you ever felt like you’re holding on for dear life...your plans, your comfort, your identity...afraid that if you let go, you’ll lose everything? In this message from Mark 14, we meet two people who were both close to Jesus…but only one truly knew Him. Mary gave up what was most precious to her. Judas held on...and lost his soul.

This sermon speaks to the deep struggle we all face: Can I really trust God enough to surrender what I’m clinging to? Whether it's your relationships, your future, your sexuality, your money, or your pain… Jesus doesn’t ask you to clean it up. He asks you to lay it down.

If you’ve ever wondered what it really means to follow Jesus, and why it often feels like losing, you’ll find both comfort and challenge here. Because in the Kingdom of God, giving up your life is how you find it.

When you trust the Giver, surrender becomes freedom not loss.

2. What led Mary to give such a precious & costly gift to Jesus?

3. The sermon reminded us that the deeper reason we resist giving is often lack of trust. What part of your life is hardest to trust God with right now? Why?

4. Mary's deed of giving pointed forward to Jesus' ultimate giving-His life and blood poured out for us. How does remembering His generosity change the way we approach giving & surrender?
