"Faithful to the Faithless" | Mark 14:66-72 | Tim Parlier

Have you ever said, “I can’t believe I just did that”? Maybe you crossed a line you thought you’d never cross...betrayed someone you love, spoke words you can’t take back, or failed God in a way that still makes you wince. In this week’s message from Mark 14, we look at Peter’s gut-wrenching denial of Jesus, and the moment he finally saw himself as he truly was: weak, broken, and unfaithful.

But Peter’s story doesn’t end in shame. It ends with Jesus meeting him again, not in anger, but in grace. In this message, we’ll explore:

The reality of human weakness,

The danger of overconfidence, and

The power for real change.

You’ll discover that Jesus isn’t surprised by your failures and that He’s already gone ahead of you to meet you in them. The Gospel truth is this: when we are faithless, He remains faithful.

What is the main thing you took away from these verses and message?

Peter said he’d never deny Jesus but he did.  Where have you said “I’ll never” but did (to God, others, etc.)?  (No shame only honesty)

Have you ever had a “rooster crow” moment where God woke you up to something?  Or had His words flash across your mind?

How does the reality “Jesus has loves you at your worst” bring comfort and/or encouragement to you?

Who in your life needs to know about Jesus’ faithfulness to faithless people?  Spend time praying for this person and for an opportunity to share.
