"Sunday Sunday Sunday!" | Mark 15:40-16:8 | Matt Carlson

In the grand finale of our Gospel of Mark series, we step into the shock, surprise, and life-changing power of the empty tomb. Mark 15:40–16:8 reveals unlikely heroes, unexpected grace, and a resurrection that doesn’t just change Jesus’ story, but ours. This message explores what it means to not just live from “Friday” (forgiveness and the cross) but to start living from “Sunday” (new life and resurrection power). Discover how the risen Christ rewrites your identity, restores your calling, and invites you to walk in the freedom of who you already are in Him. It’s time to live from Sunday.

FOR GROUP DISCUSSION & REFLECTION:

1. Where do you see yourself in the cast of “unlikely characters” at the cross and the empty tomb? How does it encourage you that God often works through the quiet, overlooked, or hesitant?

2. What are some “tombs” you tend to revisit (old stories, old shame, old ways of coping)? What would it look like to step into the newness He’s already given you?

3. What part of the resurrection story feels most personal or hopeful to you right now? Why does that particular truth land with you?

4. If resurrection isn’t just Christ’s story but ours, what changes about the way you see your identity and daily life? How does “living from Sunday” reshape the way you approach challenges, failures, or fears?
