Feeling Out of Control? When the bank account drops, the car breaks down, or a health crisis hits, we all ask the same thing: "God, am I actually secure in Your hands?"

In this message, we look at the life of Abraham—a man who spent years swinging between bold faith and total panic—to discover how God provides security when life feels like it’s falling apart.

The Three Pillars of Your Security:
Things God Marks: How circumcision was a permanent reminder that Abraham belonged to God—and how the Cross is that permanent mark for you today.

Things God Keeps: Why admitting a situation is "too hard for you" is actually the first step toward seeing God’s power.

Things God Gives: The heart-wrenching story of Isaac on Mt. Moriah wasn't about what Abraham could sacrifice, but a "preview" of what God was willing to give: His only Son.

Stop trying to "white-knuckle" your way through uncertainty. True peace isn't found in controlling your circumstances; it's found in the God who refused to withhold His own Son from you.

Discussion Questions:
1. When life feels chaotic, what do you tend to look to for security (apart from God)?
2. Part of Abraham and Sarah’s struggle was making sense of God’s timing.  Why is it hard to trust God’s timing even if we believe in His power?
3. Underneath it all, God invited Abraham to trust Him.  What is something in your life that you need to surrender to God?
4. How is this story ultimately not about what we give to God but what God was willing to give up for us?  Read Romans 8:32, what does that tell you about God’s care for you?
5. If you could take 1 thing away from this reflection, what do you think God would want to say to you?
