"Fully Known. Fully Loved" | John 10:1-10 | Tim Parlier

We all long to be fully known and fully loved, yet shame, fear, and the voices around us often lead us to hide...even from ourselves. Through the story of Scripture and Jesus’ words in John 10, we discover the Good Shepherd who knows His sheep by name, pursues us in our hiding, and replaces lies with life-giving truth. Because Jesus sees us completely and still chose the cross, we no longer have to perform, pretend, or earn an identity. In Him, we are safe, made new, fully known, and fully loved.


FOR GROUP DISCUSSION & REFLECTION:

1. Have you ever had the feeling that nobody really knows the REAL you?  Describe the last time you felt that way and what was going on in your life at that time?

2. Adam and Eve hid from God after they sinned. What lie must they have believed to make them believe they needed to hide from Him? 

3. Jesus says (John 10) that He speaks to His sheep AND YET there are “hire hands/false shepherds” that also talk to the sheep and try to direct them. Whose voice has shaped your identity or sense of worth in a way that contradicts God’s Word.

4. We "fully known and fully loved" in Christ. How does the cross prove that they are both true?

5. Revelation 2:17 says Jesus knows and has given us our REAL name. How might this reality change the way you live today?
